Apparently there was a food inspection so the kitchen completely stopped. Unfortunately we weren’t told before we sat down (would have went elsewhere) OR ordered, so it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food. Meanwhile there was barely any service and zero communication during that time. We had no clue what was going on. Poorly handled situation. View all feedback.
We have been here since 2000, every time we visit nyc. eating is notch. it's alive. the margaritas are the best they will find. when they go, they just don't take my place!
We were there an hour and half an hour when we got our food, it was cold. we have pizza on the street. total disappointment.
Bad sitting experience, but the rest of the evening was great.
I love the Queso-Fondido . the guacamole is excellent although I prefer to spicier it. the plantains with cream are a favorite of me. and the frogs never disappoint. They can have several appetizers or a large dish like tampiqueña steak, and they will end happy. nothing but ending with churros. they are delicious. the only thing that could improve would be the margaritas, they are good, but expensive and they put too much ice on them.
Nothing to tell, met friend for dinner. Food Drinks very good. Will definitely go back.
