I really enjoyed my experience at Ramen Misoya! I got the kimchi ramen, which was flavorful yet suitable for any taste palate or spice tolerance. The dine-in service was wonderful. As a vegetarian, sometimes options are limited at a Japanese restaurant, but there was a full menu for vegetarians!Vegetarian options: A full vegetarian menu!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options! What Jason P doesn't like about Ramen Misoya:
It was mid. The ramen was salty and didn’t have much flavor. The chashu didn’t have much flavor, just tasted dry. Server was kind but I wish they included the tip within the bill so I didn’t need to calculate it. View all feedback.
This place serves the best miso-ramen in the city of new york. If they like half-chewy/semi-thick nudel and miso taste, this is the place to go. if they are looking for toncotsu soup and thin noodles, this cannot be their favorite. my favorite is Shiro-miso ramen (the photo is Mame-miso though). highly recommended.
First place we arrived last Monday in nyc. we were looking for a good rammenplatz in nyc and looking for different places, we went here on the basis of reviews. we sat immediately and the server took our order. the food took very long to come, although the place was not busy. the ramenbrushes we ordered (three different types) were simply too salty and they killed in the ground any other season that was in the broth. the ritter did not live on our expectations based on the reviews of other customers for this place. We let us feel disappointed.
Nice little place to eat when they get a demand for ramen. my wife enjoyed it very much while I hate ramen as if it were too picky to eat frozen ramen. but the service and quality of eating here is great. Kara-Age: this is the best in the restaurant! the spicy and crispy texture of fried chicken is perfect, I loved it. as close as authentic Japanese Kara-Alt as they can! come here and get this always! gyoza: not so good other restaurants, but it's so good. it doesn't have a stamp and the taste doesn't have so much pop. I just don't feel her panic. mame miso based ramen: I didn't like it because the frozen smokers had no taste, no comment to smoke. kome miso based ramen: woman said it was good and full of this miso taste ~ black pfeffer tuna sashimi: that was really good sashimi! the thunfish was as fresh as he can get.
The spicy ramen were particularly delicious during a cold winternyc night. the garnels were good, but my personal taste buds preferred the original rarm due to the zanginess of the broth. I recommend this place very. great location, the employees were polite and attentive. the prices were reasonable.
Everything was going just okay, nothing special, until the time to pay the bill came. The waitress said the tip was not included so my friend, who was the one paying, decided to leave the spare change as a tip. She didn't like the food and the service was nothing special either but we were okay with that. Then the waitress came back and said that was too little tip and started asking if we were here on vacation or if we lived here, she also explained that the tip in NYC is usually from 10% to 15% of the toral amount. I asked if the tip wasn't supposed to be voluntary and she said it was but she kept saying it was too little. We added a little more money and she wouldn't let us leave and kept saying that it was too little tip which I find VERY rude. I told her we where giving her even more than the 10% of the total amount to what she reacted by grabbing the check from my hand aggressively and leaving clearly angry. This is the second time I go there and I don't think it's a bad place, but poor customer service as that is what turn good restaurants in places one doesn't want to come back to anymore.
