Absolutely beast! Great slamming small menu concept food. Market driven beauties. And absolute best wine list this side of the Atlantic.
All was fantastic as always, however the a/c was not working and that was the only drag ! I always love Racine’s !!
Perfectly portioned food that achieved textural and flavorful harmony, something we could say about every dish. The wine, just divine. And the service: warm, authentic, attentive, everything you could hope for...Racines is a gem and whatever comes next will be just as exceptional, if not more.
We are so sorry to see this restaurant close even temporarily and that we were unable to find more opportunities to eat there before. The service was great. We showed up with our tiny baby in tow. She was meant to be worn but a mishap with our Uber meant we had to bring the giant car seat with us. They maitre’d was able to accommodate us and our things and make us as comfortable as possible. Although the servers seemed a bit stressed with the huge crowds and Pascaline was kept running around full speed, they managed to make the meal an absolute pleasure. They kept us informed of delays, brought over a glass of bubbly to keep us busy and sent over Sam the bartender who was very helpful with the wine list. Every bite of our meal from the luxurious raw Kampachi, the mysterious smoked barley, savory steak tar tar and the meaty flavorful duck was perfectly executed. I’m going to miss this creative, flavorful and intense cooking. The dessert of buttermilk ice cream was surprisingly light and refreshing. Bravo Pascaline and team and we can’t wait to experience the next iteration.
Fantastic food, one of the beat meals we have had, amazing wines from Corsica and Northern Rhine perfectly complimented the delicious fare (Sliced scallops, Carpaccio of Red Snapper, Bang Mussels, Steak Tartare, Duck, and Berkshire Pork), and ever so sorry to see her close on Friday. Can’t wait for the new iteration of Racines led by Pascaline, Jarod, and team.
