I was in the city for a conference and visited this restaurant for dinner one night with a group. They were incredibly busy for a weekday, but thankfully one of the ladies in our party was able to secure a table for us. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pinch Chinese:
we celebrated the Chinese New Year and it was funny. the restaurant was packed. there was a table of more than 20 girls in their teenagers for a birthday party, so the restaurant was extra festive. eating is good. I recommend the dizzy and the dizzying. we also had the spicy healed. it was a bit too spicy of me, but friends loved it. View all feedback.

So good! True, traditional Chinese flavors, but with a bright and playful tone. The soup dumplings were absolutely perfect. The amount of broth, the proportion of skin to meat...pork remains my favorite, but you have to try the chicken. It is surprisingly succulent and delicious. Mushroom dumplings were beautiful to look at, and were a little bomb of umami. Three cup chicken was gorgeous and reminded me of my childhood, but was way better than mom ever made. Service was outstanding and fun. Love this place, thank you!
We had the beef fried dumplings, steamed chicken dumplings and seafood fried rice. Every dish was just as delisious as the other. The dumplings are amungst the best I've had and the rice dish was amazingly tasty! I highly recommend this place. A massive thumbs up from me.
Tasted like my childhood, but better. Ordered nearly everything on the menu and everything was excellent. The pork belly was decadent. Every kind of dumpling is exquisitely prepared and steamed perfectly. The sides showcase the best parts of each vegetable. I could eat the three cup chicken every day for the rest of my life and die happy. I'm making Pinch Chinese a staple for every NYC visit from here on out.
My son Erik and I sponstaneusly went into Soho yesterday in search of an adventure. It was an amazing day and as we wandered along the streets we saw a small restaurant called PINCH and we decided to stop in. It was crowded but they found a table for two right near the window where there were four people making dumplings. The food was so amazing that I was almost afraid to tell anyone about it in fear that I will never again be able to get a reservation once the secret was out. The soup dumplings were the best I have ever tasted but honestly everything we ordered was perfect, We ordered spare ribs which usually I stay from away and I can honestly say they melted in my mouth and I would go back just to order them. The steak fried rice and noodles were outstanding. I sat next a couple who lived in Shanghai for 5 years and they said they have been in serach of a place that had authentic chinese food and said this is the only place that they have been able to find in all of Manhattan that was comprable. I was facinated by them and their stories of China. Pinch is defintley not like any other Chinese restaurant I have ever tried. The service was as good as the food. What more can I say other than call this restaurant and make a reservation and go enjoy Soho and this wonderful restaurant.
