Pappardella restaurant on the Upper West Side offers a dining experience filled with highs and lows. While the signature dish of Pappardelle con funghi e tartufo fell short of expectations, the gluten-free menu was praised for its delicious offerings. Service quality varied depending on the manager on duty, with some wait times being longer than others. Despite this, the food quality was consistently excellent, with standout dishes like chimichurri chicken, Chicken Cobb Salad, and Steelhead Salmon receiving high praise. The restaurant's cozy ambiance, accommodating staff, and delicious food make it a worthwhile dining destination, serving as a hidden gem away from the more touristy areas of the city.
We made dinner reservations for this restaurant after seeing the expansive gluten free menu. We were not disappointed and would return again. We ordered the red sangria, we liked them, this one is on the drier side. We split gluten free garlic bread that came with marinara sauce. So good! And for dinner I had the Classica pizza with pepperoni (regular crust). It was cheesy and flavorful in a good way. My husband had a gf pasta dish with sausage, peas and vodka sauce. Hisone complaint was the peas were undercooked. Our bus girl did amazing and was so attentive. She filled out waters and offered bread.
Overall, a solid experience - I'd come here again if in the neighborhood, but I'm not sure I'd make a special trip.
I'm glad I ordered the calamari appetizer and the tricolore salad, other than that the rest of our orders are a big disappointment.

Love the pasta here! The staff was very friendly and kind! The food tasted fresh and homemade. I would love to visit this place again when I'm back in state. I would recommend the lobster ravioli or if you want something more seafood in your meal go withthe spaghetti frutti de mare. Both were great! Also the pizza crust it's very light and fluffy.
