K'OOK is an incredibly budget-friendly Korean restaurant located in the St. Marks neighborhood. I highly recommend trying their fried chicken and drink combo for just $25. The chicken is incredibly crispy, full of flavor, and the meat is delightfully juicy. I was really looking forward to the scotch egg, but I found it to be quite bland without the sauce. What Heather W doesn't like about K'ook:
I really want to like this place, but the food is really just bland, and the service is very very slow. The banchan is fresh- but really, the food is just not that flavorful. It's ok/good food if you are hungry, but I always seem to leave disappointed.Yuk kae jang has always been watery. Broth just not that flavorful. Beef seems to have been over boiled for weeks.Pajun very oily. Ugh.Scotch egg thing very bland but c... View all feedback.

Very cozy restaurant with delicious and fairly priced food. The crispy rice egg is amazing and a must get appetizer. I also got the dol sot w/chicken which came in a hot stone bowl. It was very filling and a perfect meal for a cold day. Excited to come back and try other dishes like the cold noodles.Food: 5/5
This place serves solid Korean food at a reasonable price point in East Village. The space is cozy, yet spacious and can host big parties. You start with some side dishes like kimchi, spinach, and fish cakes. The dish I got came with rice as well. Overall, it was a nice place and I'd stop by if I'm in the area.
Stopped in here before catching a comedy show in the East Village. Was boppin' on a Saturday night the place was buzzing with groups of friends having lively dinner convo. The space is small (it is in a basement after all but cozy and quirky. Wait was about 30 minutes for a table for 2 at 7 PM. Not an issue since there are no shortage of bars nearby to pass the time.We ordered a sampling of stuff since we were a bit short on time. Got the wings with soy garlic, cheesy corn, and the KBBQ chicken entree (which came with a side of rice and included the banchan .All of it was delicious! It's worth mentioning that the cheesy corn isn't quite like the stuff you get as a side at some kbbq places it's definitely a lot more liquidy but still so good! Loved the bell pepper and onion additions. We were in and out in 40 minutes once we were seated and made it to our show with time to spare. Easy to miss amongst all the restaurants if you're just walking by, but definitely a solid option for a cozy (but lively! dinner with friends or a pre show meal.
The most affordable authentic Korean place! As a Korean it was such a nice experience for me because every time i tried Korean places it was so expensive!I’m sure all the Koreans will agree with me. But this place is really affordable and clean and nice! They have plenty of seats and food is delicious and authentic too! Me and my husband ordered bibimbap and sodas. It was really delicious and side dishes were tasty too! I really recommend if you want affordable Korean spot. ??????
