Came here specifically for the Box of Dreams. Good quality and variety. Great friendly service. But honestly at the price point I'd rather just get the sashimi or other entrees. Probably won't go a second time but good fun spot and entree to try! View all feedback.
What Andreane Leuschke doesn't like about Hatsuhana:
We ordered six or seven different types of sushi during our visit for dinner prior to seeing a show. It was odd that the waiter told us we didn’t order enough food wish he was joking but he was not. All of the sushi was just ok. The black cod lacked real flavor and the yellowtail was a bit chewy. The staff was attentive but our waiter really had no interest in being there. My gut is that this place is resting on its... View all feedback.
Did take out from this place and loved it! The box of dreams is really fun and well done. Almost like a more creative version of sugarfish. We also got the...

Satisfied my sushi craving prior to walking around midtown. moderately priced $30) sushi for the quality with exceptional service!request upstairs seating if possible better ambiance and natural lighting.nami lunch: ordered with spicy tuna roll and yellowtail roll. comes with miso soup. enjoyed every piece of fish with a slight preference for the rolls. wish the sushi rice on nigiri was warm.
A 530 PM table for two at Hatsuhana on a Wednesday yielded the absolute best sashimi that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, as well as impeccable service from all staff. We first ordered hot green teas and an avocado salad, and due to my gluten intolerance, the dish was modified by removing the sauce. We followed this with a Sashimi Deluxe plate each, (modified for me of course) where our server identified every piece of fish on the beautifully presented plate for us. The sashimi was a religious experience. I savored every bite of fish, some with eyes closed. Not only was there tsuma on the plate like normal, very good seaweed was present as well. The wasabi is real wasabi, and when we ordered individual pieces of salmon toro sushi, there was a tasteful dot of wasabi tucked between the fish and rice. Our green tea was never empty, with multiple perfectly timed free refills. After we finished our meals, we were presented with complementary houjicha (roasted green tea)! We left Hatsuhana with full bellies and a good mood, grabbing a few M&Ms from the complementary M&M dispenser on our way out.Dietary restrictions: Very good gluten free options, willing to modify dishes!
