Famous Original Ray's Pizza - New York

I tried the cheese slice at this restaurant. It was decent, with good seasoning, a good size, and no burned bottom or cheese. The outer crust had a nice crunch, while the middle had good chewiness. The cheese was slightly too thick and the bottom crust was also a bit too thick. Overall, it's a good pizza, but nothing too impressive.

I ordered the crispy wings, but unfortunately, they were not crispy as I had hoped.

We decided to make a pit stop at the renowned Ray's restaurant and we were not disappointed. The pizza had a crispy crust, delicious melted cheese, and the sauce tasted incredibly fresh. The restaurant had a lot of history and charm. The cashier and pizzamaker were both very friendly and cool.

If you're in search of a quick bite with a great variety of flavors, Ray's is a great spot to check out. I have to admit that the standout dish for us was the simple cheese pizza (the ricotta one wasn't available), and while my first taste of a New York-style slice wasn't mind-blowing, it was still tasty, generously portioned, and satisfying. I'd give it three stars overall.
