All the dishes were well-balanced and complemented each other beautifully. We enjoyed everything we ordered from this wonderful team. Highlights included the scallops, clam pasta, lamb, and mandarin sorbet – all tasted incredibly fresh! What Francis Ricci doesn't like about Celeste:
We waited over an hour for our food to come out they had 1 server for 28 tables. They brought out some bread after we had been waiting about an hour the bread was cold and soggy. The white anchovy appetizer was good, and the house made fresh pasta wasas well. The shrimp pasta sauce had a nice flavor, nothing exceptional and a bit oily. The bolognese tasted more like a plainmeat sauce no richness to the flavor at all.... View all feedback.
Small and cozy place in UWS, perfect for having dinner but tends to be a bit loud. We went for pizzas and they were good, the only thing that got us short was that they only accept cash. Staff should warn that in advance!
I got the Tagliatelle Con Gamberi, Verza E Pecorino. The meal was amazing, service was amazing and the owner came out and talked with us. We are from Utah and while in NYC wanted an authentic Italian food experience. Overall great, just know they only take , but there is an ATM in the restaurant. Will definately be going back.
Authentic and real Italian Food on the Upper West Side. Celeste is a gem because not only the food is delicious with a variety of meals. Pizzas are yummy and guess what they have the option gluten free. Pasta is wonderful. Plus, they have a large selection of wines by the glass which is rare in the city! Service is great and it’s very cosy! Prices are affordable. We have made it our new hotspot! Highly recommended.
Food is fabulous here! I have been coming for years when I visit the city, and it is always great. We had a grilled octopus salad that was amazing!! All pastas were delicious! Highly recommend.
Great place and cozy atmosphere!! Awesome food too! Steffano was an attentive server and great!
