Always busy and happy .a typical hangout and often frequent by Douglas College faculty and staff. Good pub food and good pub drink. Often really busy but still good to hang out and chat. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Paddlewheeler Pub:
Arrived as family of four for dinner due to staying in hotel next door and the good for places in the market were already closed) tried to check with staff of kids were allowed in, they waved towards the patio area which was full, then pointed to the "family area" three tables crammed into a corridor next to the toilets, staff couldn't have cared less whether we stayed or not so we left without even seeing a menu. Calamari was good, but the serving wasn't worth the price. The nachos weren't great. The cheese was burnt, so sent them back. They dont have wings there : The drinks are good and great prices. The server was friendly, quiet busy though, so had to order extra drinks because by the time he came back, we had been done and waiting to be served again. I LOVE the view from the patio, and love the fact they have heat lamps so you don't get cold.
Food is decent but kind of expensive. The menu has been seriously shortened and the food I liked was no longer available. I was actually disappointed with the food options or lack of options. Service was friendly but they didn't come back to see if we wanted a refill of our pop, maybe they prefer to focus on those with alcohol.. or maybe they just forgot. Overall, I won't be making plans to go back anytime soon.Vegetarian options: Very limited options and nothing exciting
Mom and I had the fish and chips !!!It was a wee bit salty but was still good. The live music was also very good, Steve Sainas was the entertainment!!
Good location right at the waterfront which is perfect for people watching. Extensive menu items but we mostly came for drinks and there were a good number on tap. Prices are average for food and drinks. Service was relatively fast. Paid or street parking nearby. Poutine was vegetarian gravy.
Located right in the quay bay walkway you will have view of water while dining in. Happy hour menu are of excellent value and food are actually not bad here, not to mention reasonable prices. Drinks served are also pretty good as well as the choices. If you are in the area for a walk, this is a really nice bar to drop by and enjoy.Parking: Due to this area being a foot traffic water area, finding a free parking nearby will be tricky. But paid parking should be plenty around.
