Searles Grill - New Ulm

The food at this restaurant was typical bar and grill fare, which was good. The tater tots were delicious and the interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated. However, while passing through New Ulm and looking for something other than fast food, I found that I received a cold reception. My server seemed uninterested, perhaps because I was not a regular customer. They seemed much more attentive to other guests, which made me feel unwelcome. My suggestion would be for the staff to show a little more interest in all customers, even if they are not familiar with them. I have never experienced a server who seemed unhappy to serve me, even as a new customer. In conclusion, the food was good but I felt like an unwelcome guest. This restaurant may be better suited for residents of the town, rather than for passing travelers like myself.

Tonight, we received extremely poor service from our waitress, Amber. Every time we requested something, she acted as if it was a bother. When we placed our order, she refused to make eye contact and was extremely unfriendly. We will not be rushing back to this restaurant, especially if we have her as our waitress again.

This is a fantastic spot with excellent service from Karen. The burgers, club sandwich, tots, and wings are all delicious. It's a fun experience to bring your dog along and relax on the dog-friendly patio.

Fantastic hidden gem! The wings are unbeatable, especially with the amazing Parmesan garlic sauce. The Jack Daniels wing sauce is also excellent. The rest of the menu is solid as well.

Searles is a charming little town, located just 6 miles south of New Ulm on MN State Highway 15. My son had a baseball tournament game there.
