my family and I were here because I saw that they had superman ice cream. her superman ice cream is just colored vanilla that made me incredibly sad because that is not what is superman ice cream. my parents got butterpecan and it wasn't the best, they said it tasted like vanilla with pecan pieces. my sister loved her Italian ice. Sometimes I get some freaky primal urge for sand and salt water. And with the recent turn of the weather last weekend, I just HAD to go to the beach. Which means I just HAD to stop at Frozen Gold on my way home. Straight up, their homemade Peanut Butter F
Really good creamy ice cream. The abundant amount of flavors available make every visit different. One of the best places to go.
This place is a New Smyrna Beach institution. A trip to the beach is never complete without a stop for a delicious frozen confection. Because they offer flavors other than chocolate and will dip any flavor (hard or soft, but not large sizes), my husband and son enjoy the dipped cones. Dont let the exterior deter you. This place is a Florida classic!
Really good ice cream. We all had the sundaes. Each one was different but good. And big. And really sweet. A return trip is in the near future. And they do take debit card for payment. My only issue was we arrived at 7:20pm. They close at 8:30. We weren't allowed to use the bathroom as they had already disinfected the sitting area and the bathrooms. Am I wrong in thinking that you usually disinfect after you close?
Friendly service. Good ice cream. No frills, nothing super special. From how busy this place gets during the summer I guess I expect it to be more. However, I was happy with it.
