I visited this restaurant late at night with some coworkers and was impressed by the good selection of wine and alcohol. The ambiance was lovely and I would suggest bringing visitors to the city here. The outside terrace was also very nice. What User doesn't like about The Delachaise Wine:
I visited this restaurant last week and left feeling disappointed. They had a wide variety of wine and beer options. Although I had dined here before, this time the $12 truffle fries were warm but soggy and lacking in truffle flavor. I expected them to be crispy after being fried in grease. The Cuban twice-cooked pork was also a letdown, with dry and overcooked lukewarm pork served over room temperature fried yucca.... View all feedback.
The steak is amazing! it's a cool place to hang with friends.
That is my favorite restaurant in new orleans by far. only seeing these bad reviews is really frustrating because they obviously did not try the French pommes! amazing! Moreover, many people are badly valued for the service. please ignore the negative reviews that mention the service. the bar is in the usually very crowded, so if the bartender does not hear it is not her fault. just be nice and patient.
My parents and I went to see a Mardi Gras parade today. It was very fun but I needed a break. The Delachaise Wine Bar let us come relax and have a drink while still watching the parade from our table. Great location and a great time!
All in all, it’s an okay spot. Not a huge fan of the martini glass style paper cone thing they serve their fries in, turns out to not be many fries at all. Good aioli though.
Dirty... bartender kept touching his draining nose. He immediately started making our drinks no hand washing or sanitizer.Yuk
