The coffee was excellent, as were the breakfast tacos. They were not oversized, making them perfect for a light meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very enjoyable. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Satsuma Cafe Dauphine St:
I felt like I'd been transported to trendy Bushwick or Williamsburg in NYC, which could be good or bad depending on one's perspective. The tofu scramble was delicious, full of black beans and tofu, to power my afternoon bike ride. Soy milk for coffee obviously no problem. Prices comparable to NYC also; for us on vacation no problem. But if I lived there on a New Orleans salary I might hesitate. Also, one or two more... View all feedback.
Satsuma cafe has a friendly and creative buzz. There are delicious sandwich and salad options for vegans. We ate here a few times, and even walked all the way from the Garden District. It is a really cute, creative, and unique place. And the chocolate-coconut-almond cookies we had were out of this world!
I love coming to Satsuma for a coffee or freshly-squeezed juice (their Immune Booster' is my personal fave The staff are always smiley and cheerful, and the tofu/blackbean scramble never fails to satisfy. They even have Earth Balance to spread on their yummy toast! Come check out Satsuma!
Everything was just so damn good! They have very much (and delicious) options for vegans! What they still should have for breakfast is an (vegan) oatmeal! Nice atmosphere, very individual and personal.

I don't know why we waited until the end of our trip to visit this place. big mistake. this place is my favorite place to eat! Finally, a place where we all (carnivores and vegan) can enjoy amazing eating and great atmosphere. we have: blueberry pancakes my friend who loves pancakes and believes them to me, he has probably ordered hundreds of them at different places, said that this pancake was the best of all he ever had fluffy, light, delicious. he probably dreams of this pancake to this day. he also got a Mexican breakfast maker with a touch and he loved it too. quiona eggs, my other friend who brought us here, this time has some of the specials. he tries to go for healthier decisions, and he didn't regret it at all, he loved it. I went for vegan curry scramble with both quinoa and tofu delicious, creamy, healthy, easy. I really wish we had you in nyc! we also have a vegan-baked sweet, unfortunately I don't remember the names. but I remember how delicious it was with coffee. the staff was very friendly, happy and helpful. Inside and outside seats (beautiful terrace and if they have luck, they can meet a cat who like to hang around there and wifi are perfect for those with laptops. we love this place and if we are back in nola, this is the first stop: ps: even the toilet room is exceptional: updated from the previous review on 2018-09-10
