As a follow-up to my original visit, I went back on Friday specifically for the oysters. I had a great experience on Wednesday, where I loved my burger, so I decided to order it again. We got one River Bottom burger and one classic burger. While the burger we had on Wednesday was large enough to cover the bun completely, the ones we received on Friday barely covered a quarter of the bun. We ordered them rare, but the... We did not have the food at MRB, but it does look and smells good. As a bar it is very good and a nice place to have a drink. The pours are generous and the prices are reasonable. A pool table is available if you like along with several bar games. This is a cool bar that New Orleans is so famous for. Definitely worth a visit.Vegetarian options: A few non-meat items on the menuKid-friendliness: Must be 21 years of age to drink at barParking: Limited street parking but paid lots on DecaturWheelchair accessibility: Not accessibleDietary restrictions: Be careful to make staff aware of any restrictions
Great Bar and eatery in the French Quarter. A good mix of locals and tourists make it a great place to visit and hangout. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome.
We went after our French quarter tour and due to the city pass that we had we only had a choice of 3 meals. I chose the chicken fried alligator and it was so delicious that I almost ordered another one. It was in the form of strips so I wouldn't mind if it was a fillet. The side was the crawfish mac and cheese and I ended up eating my fiancee's since she doesn't eat crawfish. Definitely on my list to visit again if I get a chance to
We stopped for char-broiled oysters as per the reviews on trip advisor. The oysters were overcooked and rubbery. We complained to the staff and were offered a refund or to have them remade. We opted for the refund due to time restrictions. The chef personally approached our table to apologize and brought a few newly made oysters as goodwill. Delicious! The green frozen drinks were a real hit. Thanks for your courteous service!
Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon and went in the back yard to get some food. The food was AMAZING! The Crawfish Mac cheese is out of this world. Wash it down with a few Abita Ambers and enjoy a conversation with the locals. The bar staff is funny and very good. This place makes you feel like you are in a Cheers episode. Dogs are welcome, pool table TVs and good AC. What a gem.
