Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: D The long line on the sidewalk can be deceiving. I still don't know how it moved so quickly. We started with gator bites and crab cakes. Both were great. I had the Cajun pasta and it was hearty with strong flavor. Everything is fresh. I was afraid this was a tourist trap but it is genuinely delicious. View all feedback.
What jnet7 doesn't like about Oceana Grill:
The service was great. The food was only okay. We had the crab cakes and we both had red fish (one with creole sauce and one blackened with crawfish étouffée). The crab cakes were cold, but the taste was good. The blackened fish was so overcooked, it had the texture of dry chicken breast. I can make much better at home. Oyster became delish. That's all I remembered this night. Ps are ready for the long lines to get it.
I love the atmosphere of Oceana. The food and service are excellent! Oceana is in the best location!
The restaurant was recommended by locals. Amazing food and even better service from Damon S. We definitely come back to New Orleans on our next trip.
When I first saw this place, I really thought that it is overrated but I was completely wrong. This place definitely deserves a 5-star review. It looks small from the outside but it is spacious. Service is very fast, staffs are friendly and helpful. Their food is absolutely tasty! We ordered Blackened Catfish plate and Oceana Chargrilled Oysters. There are lots of options that you can choose from, and all of them look amazing. I highly recommended this place for seafood. They also open very late so you can stop by for some late night food.
Very good food, and the service was pretty good too. I highly recommend the Blackened Gator. The crab cakes and their 'taste of New Orleans ' were also really good menu items. Very flavorful red beans and rice. Would recommend if you 're visiting the N.O. and searching for a place to try delicious local cuisine.
