Desi Vega's Steakhouse - New Orleans

We visited on 11/3/2021 to celebrate my birthday and the food and service was excellent. We had the Ribeye with lobster tail, the Colorado Lamb Chops, and pork belly as an appetizer. The ribeye was by far the best steak I have ever eaten. I thought the rib cap I had in Vegas was the best, but this was even better! My friend absolutely loved her lamb chops. There is not anything negative I can say about this place! The wait staff were very attentive and courteous and they made my special day even better! I definitely will be back when we visit New Orleans again!

Visiting New Orleans for a conference and had the opportunity to try this restaurant. It was a beautiful walk from the restaurant and stepping into their lobby we were greeting but their staff. We waited in the lobby for all the guests to arrive and then were escorted to the table. We had an amazing tower of delicious appetizers that included lobster tail, oysters, crab, seared tuna, shrimp and much more. Incredible appetizer. Their mixed drinks were excellent as well. I went on to order and enjoy their Wagyu ribeye. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Around the table other guests thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and eventual dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant and was blessed to have a friend John Freeman introduce me!

Wonderful steaks here. The steak sandwich at lunch is an incredible deal. Lots of meat on the sandwich and every bite is tender and tastes delicious.

Great Service, food was amazing, had a full course meal, steak was perfectly cooked médium rare and the wine was great to acompañar, lobster tail was cooked just right juicy and very well presented the fish of the day looked very good and my companion enjoyed the fish of the day!! Dessert was great the bread pudding was neatly presented and tasteful

My husband and I recently dined at Desi Vega's, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I started with a Lemon Drop Martini, which was expertly crafted and the perfect balance of sweet and tart. For appetizers, we shared the Fried Green Tomatoes with Lump Crab Meat and the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp. Both were incredibly delicious; the fried green tomatoes were crispy and paired beautifully with the fresh, flavorful crab meat, while the bacon-wrapped shrimp were savory and perfectly cooked. For my main course, I had the Red Fish covered with Crabmeat, accompanied by steamed vegetables. The red fish was cooked to perfection and the generous topping of crab meat added a wonderful richness. The vegetables were fresh and well-seasoned, complementing the dish nicely. My husband opted for a steak with Crawfish Mac Cheese, and he was thoroughly impressed. The steak was tender and cooked just right, and the Crawfish Mac Cheese was creamy and packed with flavor. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure our dining experience was memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant yet welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a special night out. Overall, Desi Vega's exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning for another exceptional meal.
