Went to cafe last night. Great experience. Ambiance so cool. Like an old cafe. Almost elegant. Jimmy, our waiter was great. Full of stories about the restaurant, its history and background. Also Funny guy. After dinner, gave us recommendations for local jazz clubs. Service itself was perfect. Food was very good. Turtle soup, was flavorful, if a bit more spicy than I am used to from Philadelphia. I had the redfish, an... View all feedback.
What Dave doesn't like about Café Sbisa:
Disappointing after reading other reviews. took nearly an hour to get appetizers. they gave one of them to a diff table which arrived much later than us. at least waiter was nice enough to refill our drinks on house. Burrata tomato salad was good when it finally came. nice beefsteak tomatoes. Wife’s gumbo had very little seafood and my court bouillon had 3-4 nice shrimp but not much else for $30. taste stayed with me... View all feedback.
This is my new favorite breakfast place in the neighborhood. We sat immediately and politely. The waiter and his helper were attentive and polite (even if things seemed to be a little upstairs) and the food was excellent. We had a wedgey, gumbo, crumb cake Benedict and a Eugene Omelet. Everything was too great with the Omelet was a 10/10. The band was also excellent. We will definitely come back.
Food and feel as good as I remember the old days when it was new. Our server, Savannah, was excellent. I think the music is too loud- sound that down and everything else seems on its own
The food was amazing service was great!! Would definitely recommend coming here.
The food was very good. I had a problem with the service. The waiters were very polite, but the service was sporadic. We ordered a desert and it never came, but was on the bill.
Great place for a romantic dinner. Our food was excellent and the live band was very good and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this place for great atmosphere and food.
