I was nervous when I paid and tipped upfront, and I was nervous that when asked the employee how many hours the broth was boiled and she said ?we make it in 15 minutes.? And then I was also nervous when I was handed a fork upfront. But the tonkatsu ramen was great. The broth was salty, creamy and thick. The noodles were chewy and good. Chasu was average in taste, but a good portion. The same employee was very sweet a... View all feedback.
What Anna B doesn't like about Ajun Cajun:
The Gyoza Dumpling and Yakiniku Po-Boy were both not that great. I dont recommend them. The Gyoza Dumpling were small, not crispy, and not flavorful. The Yakiniku Po-Boy the bread was slighly burnt and a bit soggy. View all feedback.
This place is small and quiet. 1 other customer Friday afternoon. The tuna sashimu was very good. The rice bowl was better then most. There are rice bowl places all over Miami and this was better then all of those I tried. Good miso soup. Maybe if they had more hibachi meat options, that would be great . A+
The only bad thing about this place was that there weren?t more customers there when I visited. Friendliness/Service: 5 stars. Very hospitable. Patient. Attentive. Cleanliness/Atmosphere: 4.5 stars. From what I can see is it is a clean place. Fun atmosphere. Don?t let outside of building fool you. Seems there are even places outside to eat if you need to. Perhaps a COVID addition. Food: 4.5 stars. I ordered the spicy garlic edamame. Very good. Slight kick. I also ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. I added some ingredients. Very good. I didn?t do spicy as I was told spicy is very spicy. Perhaps I will try spicy next time to see if it enhances the flavor. Broth wasn?t super rich at first but as it integrated with the other ingredients I noticed it became richer with each bite. Price: Place has a variety of menu options. Price for area about right. Price to portion seemed about right. Concept: I love the concept. It?s creative. An Asian Cajun fusion. Recommend and love supporting local businesses!
Whenever I am in Nola visiting my children, we come here, love everything about it, only miss the cold noodle salad, lol. Such a variety of items, twice I have gotten the tonkatsu ramen, sooo good.
I came here for the first time last week, but if you want to eat authentic Japanese ramen, Please come here! It was awsome. It's more delicious and authentic than any other restaurant in the area??
A super cute place and the food is always amazing! I've tried something different every time I've been and I've never been disappointed. It's only a few blocks from my place so it's an easy choice for nights that my wife and I don't feel like cooking.
