Awesome find. They weren't busy at all but wow was the food great. We had arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) with a side of maduros (sweet plantains) and pibil (pork) with yellow rice that came with a delicious soup/sauce. Plates were enormous and we left way too full with to-go boxes in hand. Very happy and will be back. Thank you! View all feedback.

I enjoy coming to this restaurant. It's a relaxing place to have a drink and catch up with friends. The dinner menu is delicious. The owners are respectful and friendly. The live music on Friday evenings creates a great atmosphere, and the people there are nice and friendly. View all feedback.

Food was great.. but I feel that appetizers should be served before the meal..
Food was great and restaurant was nice on the inside, it's a little rough on the outside. But it's definitely worth a stop in to try it out.
Mambo provides very good Central American food, such as the seafood mutongos (different cooked seafoods inside a nice cornmeal cup). The back patio has scenic wharf side views of both the Thames River traffic going by and a stream of Amtrak trains on the North East Corridor. A good choice for a quick lunch after visiting the nearby New London Customs House Museum.
Some of the best food in the eastern ct you will find here. are generous. highly recommend the pork
