While some diners have praised the superior service, hot and delicious food, and great wine selection, others have had less positive experiences. Complaints ranged from slow service and food quality issues to extra fees for credit card payments and lackluster ambiance. Despite these shortcomings, many diners still appreciate the tasty dishes, such as the salmon piccata and pizza margherita. Overall, Umberto's seems to be a good option for a casual meal out, but may not be the best choice for a special occasion or a quiet, intimate evening.
Overall the place was really nice, eating was amazing, service was also very good. the night really went well until one of my guests heard how the server talked about us and referred to us as the Indians. what made us a little uncomfortable, but we left a real tip, regardless, but I don't think I'd go back there soon. we are West Indians from the Caribbean.
