This restaurant is consistently excellent every time we visit. The service is fast and the food is delicious! They have the best salad dressing out of any Japanese grill restaurant I have tried. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shogun Japanese Grill, Sushi:
This Shogun location was not as lively as others. We had to request chopsticks, our sushi never arrived, and we had to wait for our seafood to be cooked separately due to a food allergy at the table. The chef kept asking why we were speaking in secret, as he didn't speak Japanese and I was translating for my Japanese wife. The food was decent, but for the price and quality, along with the service, I was disappointed.... View all feedback.
Simply delicious! Great place and very good service. I asked the “OMG roll”? and I loved it ?because it is crunchy. For sure, I am coming back.
Stood at door for 11 minutes without being acknowledged. Was busy so knew we'd wait. Told 10-15 minutes. Was seated then waiter delivering salads hit wall, dropped salad, scared my Grandson, spill everywhere. They mopped it but placed no floor sign. Couple w 2 kids coming in and Boom, the lady fell. I hope you bought her dinner. Very unacceptable. Food and cooking show was good. Waitress took order for table that came in after us. Don't think we'll be back. Ever. I rate a lot of restaurants and yours was very poor overall. Sad.
Our first experience and my husband didn’t want to go but our son n law wanted to treat us . He ate all his meal and loved the fried rice. We we’re shocked and happy he liked it.
This was our 1st time coming here. We didn't sit where you could watch your food being cooked in front of you. If we had a large enough group, then yeah, we would have, but it was just 2 of us. The service was good, and the food was great. Lots of options!
The greeting staff were warm and friendly, and our waiter was excellent. The food though, is kind of meh, in my personal opinion. My party of 4 tried the dinner boxes, the spicy calamari roll, two appetizers, and the mocha cheesecake dessert. The appetizers were delicious, and the dessert was also pretty good. The calamari roll was ok, seemed a bit rice heavy and didn't have much life of flavor. Most of the sides and the veggie/shrimp tempura were a bit bland which was very disappointing. The main meat dish of the dinner boxes was delicious and full of flavor though. So all in all, not a bad place, but certainly not my favorite. I'm not experienced enough with Japanese culture and food to know the degree of Americanisation, but judging from the mostly white redneck attendees(lol), the blander pallette from other restaurants I've been to, and the mostly English menu, I'm guessing it's probably fairly Americanized.
