Have been here before. Food and service are always outstanding. We were there in the afternoon for Father's Day and it was not packed. The noise level is considerably high and I could not hear the conversation at my table without asking them to talk much louder. It is a large open space dining room so somewhat expected. I know they are an upscale dining establishment but the pricing of both food and drink is top NYC... View all feedback.
What GWDiner doesn't like about Cuzin's Seafood New Brunswick, Nj:
The service at the restaurant was attentive and all five diners enjoyed their food. However, there were some issues with the noise level due to the hard surfaces in the design, making conversation difficult. The wait time between ordering and receiving our entrees was unusually long, despite the restaurant only being about 60% occupied. Additionally, some tables had a strange experience where they were filmed by a ca... View all feedback.
Delicious food and great service. we went to lunch and had a great time. the drinks are very good and eating is fresh and good. her ice sandwich is to die! big portion and can have def enough for the next day. the decor inside is very well made. our waitress was also very nice. will be def.
New Brunswick is absolutely crazy on a Saturday night. Parking was tough to get now that is another popular restaurant on the George Street/Church Street block. We were seated right away and had to wait a bit for our party to find parking. Took a while for everyone to get settled but service was good and drinks came quicker than I thought (it was packed). The restaurant is VERY noisy. If you are looking for a quiet place to eat, this ain’t it, at least on a Saturday night. The food, however, was very good. I’ve been to Cuzin’s in Marlboro numerous times. New Brunswick had a similar menu and everything, from appetizers to dessert was excellent.I would definitely go back. But not on a weekend. It was just too much of a hassle and too loud to go at a busy time. I’d definitely return on a weekday or for lunch. Had a good time just getting old. Lol.
The food was not very impressive, especially for a $100 dinner. We ordered pasta, seafood salad, and fish. Pasta was very salty, fish was pretty mild. (I did like the grilled vegetables on the side) The salad was basically just a bunch of boiled seafood mixing with few veggies. The only sauce inside was lemon. I like the volume. But I felt there could have been more creativity from the chef? The service was also kind of off. After the bread, the waiter just gave us the salad without gathering the plates. I ordered the salad, but he just left the salad on my husband’s side. It didn’t occur to them that the table should be reorganized until we asked them to.There were things that were kind of impressive. The waitress are very good-looking with bright smile. The design of the restaurant is eye catching. But I probably won’t go there again.
The cocktail menu is impressive they have something for everyone. Employees were very nice our waiter was very accommodating when my friend didn’t like the drink she ordered. And please try the truffle pasta and scallops!! However I’m giving 3 stars because our appetizers took over 30 minutes, when our calamari reached the table it seemed over cooked as if it was sitting in the window for a while.
We are not from NJ but took our sister there as a treat after a college visit, it was a spur of the moment thing. This was one of the best places for a reasonable price. With the exception of the spaghetti and clam having to much parsley everything else was amazing. The drinks are really good and the raw oyster and clams where amazing. The service is phenomenal our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and take the rest of the family there.
