we had lunch on Friday afternoon. platz was not busy. I took the spot right away. cool little restaurant in the inner city with interesting ambiente. drinks are great! I recommend the compassion martini. the best part was eating. freshly fresh and the waiter was so attentive. she was super friendly and careful about my food allergy. View all feedback.
C’mon man french onion soup and Syrian nachos with the secret red soße I only know that it is not ketchup with red pfefferflacken, but it is so good if they smash the red soße up and then the layer of acid cream, all with the butter knife. I haven't ordered anything else for decades. I mean, I'm sure everything else is good. her drink menu is like a crazy scientist got a stop spicy sweet margarita was iiiice.
Great food service. reasonable prices for large tellers of food. our waitress was nice to meet and a wonderful server. will come back!
I was more than excited to learn Freestones would be reopened on my visit back home. I moved away a decade ago and literally grew up eating at Freestones. I brought my wife and children (5 and 3). I had to order the old staples, Syrian Nachos and Oriental Turkey salad..they were both excellent and brought me back to my youth. My wife loved the Chicken Ceaser wrap and the kids devoured the grilled cheese. Only things I'd do is add more specialty drinks and dress the salad and wrap more....we both ordered extra sides of dressing.
Ate here several times needed them for some community service work and they appeared to us immediately. Great New Bedford staple…
Food was good standard pub grub and the building and location (near the whaling museum) was ideal for a quick lunch. I had the buffalo chicken salad and it had a perfect taste balance between blue cheese, buffalo, and dressing. Service was a little slow but friendly.
