Perfect place to unwind after a good hike. Quick service. Good hot chocolate. quality pastry (cream and brown/chocolate and whipped). I'm advising.
We spent a family night at the shelter of the fears in the middle of our cradle tower. beautiful site with panoramic views of the cradles and the high valley of the Clarée. Positive points good reception, young team, dynamic and attentive rooms spacious and clean (we had a dorm for us) good restoration on site in general. visibly there is improvement over other more severe opinions, on the quantities, local products (bread bio de nevache), the quality of breakfast.Nutical points the decayed sanitary, in limited numbers, and the hot shower paying the mins of hot water the picnic basket lunch very average for the requested price. One more effort!
Refuge des Drayeres was great. The host Anne and the other staff were very helpful and kind. Lovely terrace with good view, and good facilities as well. Very good meals with superb vegetarian options!
The infrastructure is great but the place is poorly managed. Food is below the standards (in quantity an quality) and overall the place is not well organized.
After a long walk up the Valley, we were very glad to find the refuge open for lunch. It really has a spectacular setting at the head of the valley looking down over beautiful scenery and up to breath-taking peaks. The menu is fairly basic, but bearing in mind there is no road mains power or basic services up there, they produced two excellent omelettes and cold beers which we enjoyed in the sun sat on stout wooden tables and benches enjoying the view. We watched Marmots playing in the pasture below our table and really thought we had found a little corner of paradise.
