We got some wonderful baked goods here but were a little disappointed no pop tarts on a Sunday morning. Came with my non-vegan non-vegetarian father-in-law and they did not blink when he ordered “2 egg and cheese on a bagel” and just made the vegan version- appreciated that they were kind to an older non vegan person. He enjoyed the vegan sandwiches but didn’t love their bagels- he’s from Queens and is very picky View all feedback.
What Haralamb Paraschiv doesn't like about Cats Luck Vegan:
I’m a sucker for junk food. Just because I eat vegan, doesn’t mean I’m always eating leaves and berries. Once in a while I just want to slip into a coma after having stuffed myself with comfort food and baked goods. Cats Luck makes that dream possible. For the record, there’s a handful of light and fresh dishes they offer too, but that’s really not why you should go here. They have some really creative options and ev... View all feedback.
For the first time tried and was very overwhelmed with my options, except vegan tasty in bethlehem I did not really see vegan bakeries with this many options, it was somehow a culture shock! 1). the first thing that hit me (which is obviously very subjectiv, I understand) is when they first go to the door, there is a sign that they are asked to wait outside for her to eat if not wearing a mask, and another that says: "we wear her, should she too". I fully understand that they are a private company and have every right to operate their business as they see fit, but know what we are now about the pandemic, mandate and the actual science behind masking / wx really a bad taste in my mouth when in a business that is still kneeling deep in the delusion. I approached him with love and decided to support the business beyond my first judgment. they have many signs / stickers / art that clearly their opinions on current world themes, I understand again that their business and I am sure that they want from a place that wants to educate and spread the love, but I just wanted all this in the case that this is a dealbreaker for them when deciding what business to support / watch. whatever they decide, they will lead with love and respect their decision to lead their business as they are happy. the food was good. I ordered a lot because it was again so much to choose, so I went a little crazy ordered: food: •Stoner crunch bakery: •Cosmic Brownie(Bakery) •Earth day cookie •Chocolate chip cookie •(Forget the name, some poptart thing) total: $36.07 I was not in love with any of the items before, but I think they have to try a twice.
This is the cutest vegan cafe ever, my new favorite. The desserts are heavenly, especially the brownies and truffles We just had the Simon Garfunkle biscuits...parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme....thick, beautifully textured and flavored Just go and you'll see for yourself Updated from previous review on 2022-04-17
Our family was so excited to visit Cats Luck Vegan for the first time last week. We got four bakery items: a brownie, at oatmeal cream pie, chocolate peanut butter truffle, and a gluten-free min-bundt cake. We could not agree on our favorite, but the only one that was slightly disappointing was the brownie. It was just a bit dry. The GF bundt cake was most surprising. It had a great, moist texture for being gluten-free. We are looking forward to trying the savory food items at some point. There is no indoor seating, so we need a warmer day to eat outside since we are not local.
First visit to Cats Luck and we got the Anisette cookies, cookie dough truffles, moon pie and blueberry cheese cake. Everything was so good, but I absolutely LOVE anisette so the cookies were def my favorite. My husband got the special italian cheeseburger, which was a mess. The fillings were piled so high that it was nearly impossible to eat and he said it wasnt very tasty. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was good but needed more condiments (it was a little on the dry side). Overall, I would def come back for the baked goods, but would prob skip on the sandwiches.
Unbelievably good food, nice owners, cool decor, and all-around amazing business. From their ethos, their namesake, and their diverse and abundant offerings, Cats Luck is to be cherished. I know they're in Neptune City, but they're out of this world! I hope my terrible planet pun does not stray you away from this place lol.
