I placed an online order for delivery and received a 50-piece sushi and tempura vegetable combo for just $40. In my opinion, this was a fantastic deal. The sushi was all delicious, although the tempura was a bit soggy. I understand that this can happen when ordering deep fried food for delivery, so I don't fault the restaurant for it. What Andres Leon doesn't like about 1000 Sushi Islands:
After having some really good sushi in Vancouver, the sushi at 1000 Sushi Islands does not compare. It's pricier despite being less fresh, and mediocre. But I guess its the best that Barrhaven can offer for all you can eat sushi. View all feedback.
A friend recommended this restaurant to me and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant offers all-you-can-eat options and has a spacious dining area. They even allow you to order from the dinner menu during lunchtime for an additional charge. The service was very friendly and the sushi was fresh. The only downside is the distance from downtown to Barrhaven, but if you live in the area, it's a great spot to have nearby.
This sushi buffet is nothing special. While it's not better than other sushi buffets I've tried in Ottawa, it's also not worse. They don't have an electronic ordering system, which can be inconvenient, and service can be inconsistent during busy times. However, they do offer a decent selection of sushi. I frequent this place mainly for its convenience, as I haven't found any other nearby buffets that are worth the extra effort to travel to.

My only recommendation would be for the restaurant to provide more detailed descriptions of the rolls included in their combos. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for takeout.
This restaurant is quite good and offers a reasonable price for their all-you-can-eat option. They base the charge on the height of children, and when they measured my son, they deducted a couple of centimeters to ensure I was not overcharged.
The food was delicious, but the prices were quite high. I ended up spending $100 for dinner for my daughter and myself. I was surprised to find out that each onion ring or spring roll had to be ordered individually, so I had to order a lot to feel satisfied. However, we really enjoyed the sake and sushi.
