Promising, not too big a restaurant. Precious, but intrusive service. Excellent food! Plate all preheated, fabric napkins. Very neat open wines at extremely fair prices. Ideal for a beautiful day of excursion. Tip: Always look at whether there is a closed event. Make sure to book by phone! View all feedback.
A beautiful excursion destination with tradition Herr von Ribbeck to Ribbeck in the Havelland...
The neo-baroque castle Ribbeck is large, imposing, not overlooked. It dominates clearly the village core of the Ribbeck Birnbaumribbeck, the Ribbeck in the Havelland. It houses a restaurant with a café and on the occasion of the 200. Birthday of Theodor Fontane since the day of work 2019 a Fontanemuseum. Unfortunately, the current pandemic and its consequences for life in our society prevented a real visit. It is still nice to see, in the restored state, an eye also for only “external visitors”. The park or better garden around the house is always well maintained and clean. The plants are regularly cut and cut. Behind the castle is the group of the figures of the three Grazien on the Havel, many pears and left hand of the family cemetery of Ribbeck. On the right you will see the church with the legendary pear tree and on the meadow the fallen end for the Ribbeckers who leave their life in the First World War. The view from the castle staircase falls on the scales of the voluntary fire brigade of Ribbeck. The entire plant makes a very well maintained impression. At the moment, a visit to the castle in Ribbeck is quite cumbersome, the passage in east-west direction was built for months and somehow I will not get rid of the feeling that it will finally be time to come to an end. I don't want to go much more, especially because Nike has already spoken about the construction. I'll give you 5 stars.
The historic centre of Ribbeck is very idyllic on a side street in Ribbeck. They do not suspect that such an idyllic stain is hidden beyond the federal road. The castle, the anger, the historical houses, the church, the laundry house, the cemetery... oh yes and the legendary pear tree .... Who does not know the ballad of Theodor Fontane, which he wrote in 1889 and which it did not learn as a child at school; most of them can express the poem by heart, right? And when the wind goes through the old trees, you hear a whisper. Lord of Ribbeck, on Ribbeck in the Havellland, standing a pear tree in his garden, And came the golden autumn time And the pears glittered wide and wide, Then filled as it was for lunch from the tower that saw both pockets full of Ribbeck, And came in panties promise! Update from 30.11.2013 : Because I found the historical castle Ribbeck so enchanting, we took another trip together on one of the last beautiful autumn days. At noon we returned first to the oven café to strengthen us something, then we went through the historic building ensemble it is a circular path, discovered the somewhat remote FRiedhof and then visited the castle, in which an old home was last accommodated until almost 10 years ago. Today, after extensive restoration, you will find a restaurant that has not told us so much about the ambience, because too little cozy and a small museum. This focuses on the history of Ribbeck and on early findings in the area. After about 20 minutes you have completed this in just a few rooms. Unfortunately, there are no more original furniture. In the small museum shop you get very nice, fine stoneware with pear motifs and lines from the poem by Fontane. We could not resist and take two small sticks to remember this charming trip with the occasional good night Schnäppercken tasted too good again; then we deleted our coffee sausage in the old washhouse, but this is another story....
