When I first laid eyes on the Soul Food Plate, my mouth started watering. I savored each bite and also tried the Philly Cheese (not the greatest, but decent). My husband went for the Vegan Gyro. I love discovering cozy vegan eateries like this one. Don't forget to order a sorrel drink with your meal for the perfect experience.
I had a great dining experience at this restaurant! I ordered the Reuben sandwich, while my husband got the southern chicken plate. We also shared a delicious strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Despite some delays due to short staffing, the communication from the staff was clear. I would definitely visit again, especially for the excellent vegan options available.
I came here once a few years ago and loved it but moved a little out of the way and just hadn't made it back. But that will change! I just stopped in for a not blt po boy and WOW. Not only was it absolutely fantastic, but also clearly made from quality, nutritious ingredients, so no greasy sluggish feeling after.
If you 're in Nashville craving vegan comfort food, I highly recommend Vegelicious! As a vegetarian in the South, I was thrilled to find this gem. After dropping my mom off at the airport, I decided to give it a try. Vegelicious, a small Black-owned business, feels like home with its charming green exterior, cute outdoor setup, and cozy, inviting interior. Greeted warmly and handed menus, the Not Bacon Burger with coconut bacon immediately caught my eye. I also ordered yams and BBQ chicken with sweet sauce. Our server, Ally, was upbeat, personable, and funny. She recommended the perfectly sweetened sweet tea and assured me the meal would be great—it was. The food was outstanding, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. If you love soul food and vegan cuisine, Vegelicious is a must-visit! Great experience, great food, and exceptional service!
I recently went to Vegelicious after work, as I hadn't been there in a while. I placed my order, paid, and waited outside for my food. The cashier came out and asked me what I ordered again, and then I received my food and decided to eat it at home. However, when I got home, I realized that my order was wrong and the food wasn't even hot. I had spent $30 on two meals and was very disappointed. I learned my lesson to always check my order before leaving.
Nestled in an unassuming location, Vegelicious has garnered a mix of responses from patrons. Many rave about the extensive menu and vibrant flavors, with standout items like the vegan gyro and rich soul food plate. Diners have described the pancakes as fluffy and delightful, while the hospitality is frequently praised. However, some reviews highlight disappointing experiences, citing cold dishes and lack of seasoning. While the ambiance is cozy, the inconsistent service leaves room for improvement. Despite its challenges, Vegelicious remains a beloved spot for both vegans and non-vegans alike, inviting diners to explore its culinary offerings.

My partner and I stayed at this restaurant during our visit and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The food was delicious, even for non-vegan/vegetarian eaters (it tastes just like the non-vegan versions). The atmosphere was exceptionally friendly and the owner was incredible. The interior is perfect for socializing and we quickly made friends with other diners. It's a fantastic place to eat and meet other visitors to Nashville. I would recommend trying the BBQ tofu burger and the spicy chicken sandwich!
We visited this restaurant for the first time earlier today and I'm very happy we did. The food here is incredibly delicious and almost everything is made from scratch, including their beverages. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak and I had the hot "chicken" sandwich, and both were delicious. My husband isn't vegan, but he loved his Philly and also enjoyed my sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the collard greens and the V-licious taters. I forgot to take a picture before we started eating, but remembered to take one after we had eaten half of the appetizer. We will definitely be coming back again.
My wife and I celebrated her birthday at this restaurant yesterday. After reading all the amazing reviews on Google, we drove a few hours to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The food was incredible. We ordered a variety of dishes to try. The Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich was definitely the standout item on the menu. I highly recommend it. The coconut bacon BLT Po’boy was also delicious. The sides (Mac And Cheese, Yams, Greens, Rolls, and fries) were all tasty. My wife enjoyed the lasagna so much that she didn’t even share a bite with me. For dessert, she preferred the cheesecake while I preferred the coconut cake. Both were excellent but different in their own way. The menu had some funny misuses of language when it came to Philly foods, but don’t let that deter you from trying the food. Despite being from Philly, we found the “on a hoagie” or “Philly cheese sandwich” descriptions amusing, but the food itself was no joke. Seriously, give this place a try! I’m already trying to find a reason to return to Nashville as soon as possible.
All I ordered was the fried chicken salad and the strawberry cheesecake. I honestly was highly disappointed. My total was $19 and the portion for the salad was very small. $11 for this salad is insane.. It was my first time in the area, and I 'm always looking for vegan restaurants because I love seeing vegan businesses thrive.
Love this place! So many yummy options. Super friendly staff. They have a cute little dining area open now too! Highly recommend. Amazing vegan food!

A small family owned business. The entrance is somehow hidden but there are signs. The menu is quite big. I had the vegan gyro and it was very good! The staff was very friendly!
I got the hot chicken plate and it was the best thing ever. Everything that came with it was good.
We went during a busy time and had to wait a bit for a table. But damn, the food was amazing! Got the Original Chick'n Plate and it was so tasty! The mac was creamy, the Chick'n was well seasoned, the biscuit was fluffy, the greens were a good compliment to the dish, and the yams were the best I have ever had. Also got a coconut cake and it was served toasty warm. So dang good!
I got the BBQ Chik Po Boy and it was so good, it reminded me of a BBQ shack in my hometown that I'd eat at before I was vegan. The food was the best meal we've had in Nashville, the vibe was comfy and chill. Next time I'm in Nashville I have to come back.
There were so many delicious options to choose from at this restaurant! I finally decided on a chicken sandwich and yams, and it did not disappoint. The meal was incredible, and I couldn't pass up trying the dessert as well. I was so full by the end of my meal that I had to get my dessert to go, but I'm glad I did because the strawberry cake was absolutely delicious! The staff were also very kind and attentive. I had a great experience overall.

I thought this restaurant was very charming. It was my first time visiting Nashville and this place did not disappoint. The vegan comfort food was incredibly tasty. My mom ordered the soul food plate and I opted for the spicy soul food plate. We both loved everything we tried, from the Mac and cheese to the collard greens to the vegan meat. The owner was also really kind. The perfect spot for some delicious southern comfort food. I would give the food a perfect score of 5 out of 5.
This was our first time visiting the restaurant and we were very impressed! The vegetarian options were delicious, especially the Lasagna Tofu wrap. We will definitely be returning. The location might not be ideal, but as a food lover, good food is all that matters to me. I found the small, cute ambiance charming and if you don't like the indoor seating, there is also outdoor seating available.
During my visit to Nashville with my friend and daughter, we decided to explore different vegan restaurants in the city. This particular experience was one of the best I've had at a vegan restaurant. The music was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it's no surprise that they have such a high rating. Whether you're vegan or not, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!
I 've been craving a bacon burger for a while but it 's hard to find a vegetarian option near me. Found myself in the neighborhood of Vegelicious and saw they had a not bacon cheeseburger. Perfect! Unfortunately the not bacon in my not-bacon cheeseburger meant no bacon. I didn 't notice it was missing until I was too far away to go back. Oh well. As far as a cheeseburger goes, it was pretty good. But I didn 't get what I ordered. I 'll update if I ever make it back. Would love to try again sometime.
As soon as I saw the Soul Food Plate, I was drooling. I enjoyed every bite. I also ordered the Philly Cheese and the husband ordered the Vegan Gyro. I enjoy finding small, vegan restaurants like this because it's just delicious, period. Get a sorrel with your meal and you're all setVegetarian options: 100% vegan foodDietary restrictions: Gluten-free options, 100% vegan, so no egg, dairy, or shellfish.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing. The flavors are so rich and comforting. Despite its unassuming appearance, the food is top-notch and completely vegan. Both vegans and non-vegans will enjoy the delicious dishes here. The service is great and I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Nashville. Give this place a try!
I can't believe I hadn't tried this restaurant before. I was really pleased with the food I ordered for takeout. I was craving something fresh and tasty, as well as a dessert. I opted for the Fried Chick Salad and a Strawberry Cheesecake. The chicken in the salad had a great flavor and the dressing was delicious. The vegan ranch dressing was one of the best I've ever had. The cheesecake was light and indulgent at the same time, and the crust was also delicious. Overall, I was completely satisfied with this restaurant and I look forward to ordering from them again soon.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! The restaurant is charming and the music adds to the nice atmosphere. The couple who owns and operates the place is very welcoming and kind. Almost everything is made from scratch, and you can really taste the quality in the food. We tried the tots, hot chicken sandwich, hot chicken plate, homemade ginger beer, and the strawberry cheesecake. I wish we lived closer so we could come here more often! I truly believe they deserve more than 5 stars. This is hands down the best vegan restaurant I have ever been to!
What can I say, this place is INCREDIBLE! The staff was amazing! The place smelled wonderful, cozy and just right full vegan food with SOUL! I love me some vegan soul food and this didn?t let me down. The hot fried chicken was unreal, the Mac and cheesewas fire and the collards were insane! Make sure to get the blueberry bread pudding! I will be back to eat the whole menu!!!
Took my wife here yesterday for her birthday. Read all the amazing reviews on google and drive a few hours to try it out. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! The food was all incredible. We got a plethora of things to try. The Nashville hot fried chicken sandwichwas definitely the best thing on the menu. I highly recommend it. The coconut bacon BLT Po?boy was also really good. The sides(Mac And Cheese, Yams, Greens, Rolls and fries) all delicious. My wife loved the lasagna so much she didn?t even share a bitewith me. Desert wise, she preferred the cheesecake, I preferred the coconut cake. Both great, but distinctly different. Thelanguage around Philly foods on the menu are hilariously misused so if you are from Philly/Jersey don?t let that fool you intothinking the food is bad. Being from philly and seeing the ?on a hoagie? or ?Philly cheese sandwich? had us cracking up, but thefood was no laughing matter. In all seriousness, go try this place! I?ll be looking for n excuse to get to Nashville againasap!

The food is typically delicious, but unfortunately, the collard greens tasted like dirt. The mac and cheese seemed old, the potatoes were hard and stale, and the roll was also tough. It seemed like the freshness took a hit since we arrived close to closing time.
I was too hungry to take a picture lol I got y 'all on the next round! Both the burger and tots were amazing! Very tasty and fulfilling! That coconut beacon on that Not Bacon Cheese Burger needs to be a side order!!!
The food is consistently delicious, regardless of what I choose from the menu, so they truly live up to their reputation. The owner and staff are also very friendly.
I'm not vegan, but the food was absolutely delicious! The chicken—both the BBQ and spicy varieties—was fantastic, and the yams were on point. I did wish the greens had a bit more seasoning; perhaps some liquid smoke or smoked paprika would have elevated them. The mac and cheese looked a little iffy (though that's just how vegan cheese is), but surprisingly, it tasted amazing! That was definitely my favorite part of the Soul Food Plate.
