Wow! We had an amazing dining experience at 5th and Taylor. Both the service and the food were fantastic. The bacon-wrapped quail was exquisite, striking a lovely balance between sweet and savory. For our main courses, we tried the Beer Can Chicken and the Beef Cheek Pot Roast, and both were delicious. To finish off the meal, we indulged in the fried pie, which was exceptional. This place is just all around phenomenal. The cocktails are some of my favorite in Nashville, the food is simple yet elevated to excellence, the atmosphere is unparalleled and the service we received from Kevin was excellent- he’s terrific! So much finesse! Don’t miss out!
Nothing less than perfection! Greeted promptly by the hostess, the wait staff was attentive and knowledgable and the atmosphere was beautiful. The real star was the food. Every bite was amazing. Don't miss this place.
Ryan was an amazing server, super knowledgeable with the entire menu, and I am sad to say we only got pictures of the donuts, but EVERYTHING was rediculously tasty and well balanced. We are definitely coming back at least for the service and the blueberry ricotta donuts, the most under-described item on the menu. This dish pairs well with a serving of their vanilla bourbon ice cream.
Three of us dined at Fifth and Taylor on July 9, 2023. One of us was in a wheelchair and one of us is a Celiac. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, cross contamination issues and she provided recommendations. We were able to easily access the restaurant from the side door and the restaurant tables were accessible so that we could just pull up our chair to the table. From the reviews, I thought we could expect mostly upscale bar food, but I was wrong. We had a delicious meal. To start we had the zucchini fritters and two salads--the heirloom tomato salad and the grilled greens salad and both were so refreshing. Both of the salads were gluten free--the fritters were not. I would order both again and likely pass on the fritters--which were good but not great. For our entrees we had the monkfish and the scallops and both were delicious and plentiful. The scallops were gluten free and perfectly prepared. And the monkfish was super tender and flavorful. It comes in a sauce that is not gluten free. We also got a side of corn, lima beans and roasted garlic and that were amazing. I am going to try to make them at home. I absolutely recommend this place and hope you give it a try.
Excellent food , alien and service. Our table of 4 enjoyed the halibut, meat loaf, scallops and last but not least the short ribs. Aside from the great food our server Ryan a Frank Zappa look alike) was absolutely the best. Knew the menu, made great suggestions on items was simply a professional. Don’t see too many like Ryan these days. Will definitely return to 5th on our nest visit to Nashville.
