The Quarterway Pub - Nanaimo

Sundays and Wednesday 40 cent wings. Best I have had in a long time. Next pub, great waitresses . Other food very good also. We come up from Chemainus and take some home for the next day!

It is wing night Wednesday and Sunday, my husband and I try to go one of those days. The wings are the best we've had in Nanaimo. Great servers, nice comfortable environment. Great place to go, always busy, that tells you something. 40 cents a wing but well worth it.

Basic pub food, but well done. The place was clean and new, the bathrooms were very well maintained. Being that it's definitely a bar more than a pub (at least it appeared that way), I was preparing myself for a typical bar bathroom. Not the case! A lovely surprise. The service was good - the server was friendly and experienced. Decent prices for decent food.

We nearly always stop here for lunch whenever we take a drive to Nanaimo. We have never had a bad meal here, prices, portions and quality have always been very good. The fish & chips I had yesterday was a good size, with firm meat. The teriyaki stir fry was also really good. At first we thought there was going to be a problem with the service as the pub was very busy and there was only one waitress, Niki?, but she flew around and never had to wait for anything. They even had a meat draw! Good, old style pub with surprisingly good food.

Nanaimo experience: hike up a salmon run, past a high school football game, through another riverbed and the quiet sense of deep woods, emerge on a highway
