What Jamie J doesn't like about Mulligan's Grille In Historic Cottage Row:
Awful service. Waited 50 min for a table then 90 min for food. Were asked to leave when we complained to a manager. Other customers came and went as we still waited for food. Cockroaches climbing on the wall behind us. View all feedback.
What a great find! My wife and I stopped the day on the way from NJ to FLA on the OBX. We went from Mulligans and decided to stop at a late lunch and drinks. We've wounded such a great time that we came back for dinner. It had a very lively bar scene and all staff, wholesalers, bartenders and wait staff were friendly, friendly and helpful. They had a nice selection of items on their menu and each ordered product was well prepared and delicious. Their prices were extremely appropriate for quality and quantity of food and beverages. I recommend Mulligans and look forward to return the next time we're in the area.
We tried this place because it was recommended not to disappoint it! The shrimps were so delicious and came in a very generous part. I enjoyed the Cajun take it - there was okra andouille sausage in it! My son also had her Mac n-cheese and it was honestly some of the best I've ever tasted! (But it is a little spicy). Note: The restaurant is just a few minutes' walk from Jockeys Ridge State Park – we ate over the street to catch the sunset! 10/10 would recommend! *From the top floor you can see the sand dunes on one side of the ocean on the other!
We loved this place. I was driving very late, tired, hungry and road. The male bartender (James? on Tuesday, 6. October evening was phenomenal; I can't remember his name because of the long ride. I'm disappointed I can't, but he was more than accommodating and polite. Although it was almost closing time; he took the time to get menus, make suggestions, and even a pull-out dish of the biggest Hush puppies I have ever tasted. He was engaged and very informative about the menu and what his favorites was sincerely beyond and beyond his job. The next evening I returned with my nephew and we both had the golden fried oyster plate; it was mouthwatering big! We loved everything about this place, especially the outdoor food away from others so tight. The lady who answered the phone when I arrived in the city (Nags Head led me directly into the parking lot when I drove; she never came from the phone until I arrived safely. I can't say enough about this delightful culinary experience combined with the most friendly staff at all! I pray I will be able to return to enjoy the most friendly and tasty place ever!
Wow! Fantastic meal on Christmas Eve. My husband and I had the seafood plate and every product was absolutely perfect! He said it was the best crab cake and the best grilled flounder he ever had! We're going 3 hours to eat again!
What a place! 4/8/18. We started with Crab Stack. Lump crab, avocado and fried green tomatoes and more. I had the homemade meatloaf (I know it's seafood town but I"d eaten a lot of fish and this was a fantastic change). My wife had the salmon with sticky rice and vegetables. Outside, second floor seating with views. Great service and decor. 3 bars and TVs if needed for sports. Nice find when you're on the road.
