The barbacoa and pork butt at this restaurant are delicious. The rice could use more flavor, but the flavorful meat makes up for it! The pickled onions, both the red and the ones with carrots and jalapeños, are especially tasty. The drinks and food were served quickly. Our service was provided by several staff members who were all attentive. The teamwork at this place is evident. Overall, it was a good experience. View all feedback.
What Rozella Hermann doesn't like about Downtown Public:
Great vibe. Beautiful place. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. Has vegan options though you better like salt, or spice and or oil. Skip the mac is my recommendation. View all feedback.
So my bf and I arrived, they said ?it? an open seat, so we sit outside, 2 min after they bring us the menu; Water; all great. We've been sitting here for 45 minutes, this couple before us came after us, they were served twice, various waiters came to ask them six times if they're okay, and they totally ignored us? We're now wondering if we're invisible or what. As you can see in the pictures is NOT busy at all, not even inside. Thanks for starving us, but hydrate?
Came here for lunch Gluten friendly restaurant My wife and I were served immediately And our choices did not disappoint. Sophia was our server. She was attentive and polite. She had several tables to serve. Yet the task was not too much for her. Our food was delicious and tasty . We enjoyed afternoon having conversation and great food. Stop by you won?t disappointed
The environment is really nice, especially the outside seating next to the tree. I'd say it's best to go at night when their tree is lit up as well. Even though the surroundings are aesthetically pleasing, it did not please me in other aspects of my experience there. I was pretty thirsty when I arrived and I was provided room temperature water on a 90+ degree day, I was not pleased with that. The only seats available were outside on a tall table that weren't very much space and a metal stool which wasn't comfortable. I left there with my butt flatter than ever. The menu was small too. The Euro fries were decent, crunchy and flavorful, but my local Greek spot would be my preferred go to. I ordered a soda and got mine in a small cup so I had to ask for a refill 3 times (annoying), please note that I'm not much of a soda drinker either. I had the mushroom pasta entree which was actually really good, pasta was tender and the mushroom flavor overtook the entire dish, which I enjoyed. My wife got the barbacoa bowl which she said she really enjoyed. After a mediocre start and a delicious dinner, our paycheck arrived at over 70 dollars which took the good flavors right out of mouth. Definitely way too expensive for a casual date night.
Food was great ordered The Breakfast Kobe Burger. Full of flavor if I have to pick it apart. I ordered it Medium would've liked it a little more pink . On a breakfast burger should swap the tomatoes for hasbrowns I took them out of mine. Fries were really good. The spicy ketchup was a nice upgrade . Definitely would return
This resturant on a Tuesday night offers a warm breeze and casual inside and outside dining experience. The menu is definitely fashioned to be served along with beer or wine. We ordered a cracked black pepper Caesar salad with grilled chicken, House Fries, and a hummus appetizer. Servings were generous. The wait staff are attentive and friendly.
