okay, my friend and I have tried many of the local Thai restaurants to get a feeling of where we can get the best tofu, curry, fried rice, etc. so far we were twice too lucky and both of us had some of the best Thai food we ever had, vegan or different. her entire menu is clearly marked when an item is vegan or vegan could be made, and I think there are only two or three elements that cannot be made vegan on the menu... My bf and I went last Friday and pretty much ordered the whole menu, including all the apps! Everything was so delicious and priced reasonably. The fried mushrooms were bomb and the rangoons! We will be going again this weekend. also, the Thai tea was so good!
We love Lucky Thai. So many vegan options to choose from. Their tofu is on point. Curries and pad Thai perfectly seasoned.
Lucky Thai has so many vegan options on the menu that are clearly well marked. You know an establishment is happy cow legit when you see V=vegan! The fried oyster mushrooms were amazing, the spring rolls were super tasty, the tofu in the stir fried vegetable dish was crisped to perfection, and my husband, who is not a Thai food rookie, said the pad Thai was the best he’s ever had. We had such a great meal!
Wow, incredible! This place is definitely going to become my new go to spot. I’ve recently moved back to the area after living in other states for the past 11 years, and am an avid pho lover. I am vegan, however, and it can be hard to find vegan pho. I had a favorite place where I previously lived and was nervous to find somewhere here, but they absolutely nailed it! Not only that, but basically their entire menu can be made vegan and they are extremely friendly, welcoming, and happy to accommodate any food restrictions. They also have a ton of gluten free options if that’s something you need and/or are looking for. To top it all off, I had two vegan dessert options, which is huge, because most places don’t even have one, or if they do, it’s a bowl of fruit. I never expect to have options unless it’s a vegan restaurant, but when I saw the options on the menu, I was ecstatic! I got the fried banana sticky rice (other option is mango sticky rice) and it was one of the most incredibly tasting things I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back and have it again! This is probably my favorite place to go to in town—it’s nice having so many things to pick from on the menu, but also nice that it is a “regular” restaurant, so it can accommodate anyone that is coming. I don’t feel guilty dragging my friends or family with me to dinner and hoping they like the vegan food, when they can get a “normal” meal for themselves, while I can also have more than one or two options to pick from. I would’ve given the restaurant 5 stars if I was allowed to, but since it’s not a fully vegan restaurant, the most you can give is 4 stars, which seems a bit much to me if I’m honest.
We absolutely love this place. While it is not 100% vegan (the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5), they will substitute any protein with a selection of plant based protein. They have lots of Gluten free selections as well. Most importantly the food is super tasty...down right delicious! The owner is dedicated to providing high quality food and she is such a wonderful person. We LOVE Lucky Thai!
