I absolutely love this place. The food and chef are amazing considering the price. Despite some negative reviews, I found the place to be quite nice. It is a hidden gem of a French restaurant, with a mysterious and intimate atmosphere. Delicious, quirky, beautiful food displays. Chef was attentive and, holy moly, what a delight. No grouch here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Just check the rules first and plan to make reservations.

He preserves the tradition of fine dining and 5 star food in exchange for your role in the part of the diner. He makes it clear on his website and in his interview for a reservation that if you play your part, he will play his. You will not find 5 star food at the affordable prices he charges. He has a shrine to how American fine dining used to be. It's amazing he's been able to keep to his principles of what's most important to him.
