Osteria - München

When we were visiting Munich, we were staying in Courtyard Marriott and had arrived late and was looking for a nice restaurant for late dinner. We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and it was lovely. They have really nice Italian food. Food portions are big....The staff members, I think they are Italian, so efficient, quick service, but can come across a bit aggressive( but they are nice people. Ambiance is relaxed with brown papers on the floor every where as decor. It was a nice evening and would recommend for good portion Italian food!

This restaurant gets mixed reviews and for good reason. Here are a few highlights and shadows. Highlights: The staff are efficient and the food comes surprisingly quickly, even on a Friday night. The Tiramisu is amazing. Looking around the restaurant, the other desserts...looked similarly good. The setting is charming. See photos. Hmmmms: The menus are in German. An English menu is available. One English menu. English is spoken by the staff, but just barely functional. No problem ordering a meal, but not pleasantries. Salad was basic greens and tomato/pepper... Olive Oil and Balsamic on the table. Shadows: The fish was over-cooked and the fillets were very thin. Flavors very average. The room is noisy enough to make conversation very difficult. Not a place to go to have much more than a screaming match conversation. There were many people in the restaurant apparently having a terrific time. Maybe we missed the point. In any case, this is not at the top of our list.

Same as for La Vecchia Masseria awful, disappointing and rude treatment. The waiter made insulted us in Italian which two of us understood as they live in Italy. Awful experience.

Went in the afternoon as we had just arrived in Munich. Lovely restaurant with plenty seats. Place was busy and staff were very good. Had a large Hawaiian pizza between and bottle of Pellegrino water. Bill was which I thought was good value.

Once we tried this place once we had to go again. It's not a upper class restaurant for comfort but all the dishes in the menu were fabulous. Very nice variety and tastes. We tried several pastas, salads, pizzas and carpaccio , all was very...nice, I suggest you try it.
