We had lunch on a sunny summer day and enjoyed sitting in the shade outside. For lunch they have two entrées each day. We chose the veal with potatoes and it was wonderful. Only €9.5! We also enjoyed a piece of cake. The staff spoke enough English to make up for our linked German. View all feedback.

cool location, but food quality and service is pretty bad. I had a flashcake that was cold, my wife had a ginger carrot soup that tasted strange and terrible. Although it was not crowded, it saw age to order a 2nd drink, and until the dishes used were taken away... Prices are far too high for the service and quality provided. View all feedback.
My wife and I had a quick, small lunch at the terrace. We took the antipasti, which was with old ingredients, such as untasteful aubergine parts. My wife did not eat half of it. I took an 'Elsasser Wurstsalat' and was looking for any salade, due to the fact that 99 percent of the ingredients (served as a small mountain, too much for one person who does not suffer obesitas) were lots of wurst parts and cheese parts only; our comments on the antipasti were not taken seriously.

The hotel offers stylish rooms at a good price, but the food in the restaurant is only average; we had to wait for our dinner for almost half an hour. Breakfast is ok, but far from being sumptuous,

Have been 2 times at restaurant 'Altes Spital'. First time a week after opening and some weeks later. First time the table reservation was changed. We booked the table personally within the restaurant, however when we came for lunch, we had to sit on another table. No way to get this changed. 2nd time: we entered the restaurant without reservation. We had difficulties to find staff providing us a table. So we went around the restaurant until we found a free table. Service staff mostly friendly but obviously some of them not very experienced. Unfortunately as well inattentive. Very long waiting time for food. Food it self quality / price level acceptable but not favorable. We had salad, salmon, Schnitzel and daily menu with kind of deer. Flavoring of food is so-so, a bit boring.3rd trial: we tried to book a table via phone, but nobody took the call. We considered another restaurant within region. Not sure yet if we consider to give it a 4th trial.facit: Nice location - Food/Service need to be improved immediately ...
