This place was made all the sweeter as we booked a dimmi 50% off the food bill special. All the food was amazing the staff were attentive and helpful and the wine was delicious. As with many tapas places (had we not had the 50% off) it gets expensive to have dinner dessert and 2 glasses of wine. View all feedback.
What Palesa Coetzee doesn't like about Cantina 663:
We parked up the road near the NAB bank. Met a long time colleague for a bit of a yarn. He had the bacon bagel and coffee - a flat white. I had the crumbed whiting($16) with salad(extra $3). The fish was crunchy with a nice moistness under the crunch. Salad was fresh with lots of olive oil. We sat in the passage near the pavement. Slightly troubled by the whine of the nearby shop. Otherwise a nice winter's lunch. View all feedback.
Delicious. We came as a group of 4 and ordered 4 entrées, 2 networks, 2 pages and 3 deserts. Yes, we ate a lot! Outstanding dishes tonight for me the (a) prosciutto with pear, gorgonzola, honey-mustard and fig, (b) cabbage, pumpkin and fried quinoa salad, (c) of lamb ragu gnocchi, and (d) the Tiramisu and (e) roast the vegetable side. The chicken Cacciatore was a bit too fluid and needed more spice. The choux pastry did not require the additional cinnamon sugar - the pastry and chocolate sauce were already pretty delicious.
We parked the street near Nab Bench. Filled a long colleague for a little yarn. He had the bacon bagel and coffee - a flat white. I had the Crumbled Whiting ($ 16) with salad (Extra $ 3). The fish was crispy with a beautiful humidity under the crunch. Salad was fresh with lots of olive oil. We sat in the passage near the paving. Slightly worried by the whining of the nearby store. Otherwise a nice winter company.
Good eggs, good bacon, good breakfast. Coffee is ok. The dinner looks fascinating, they seem pretty proud to be on the gnocchi. Should be good ???
Absolutely delicious lamb ragu with gnocchi !! Tiramisu was also delicious !!! The service was friendly, but a little inconsistent, especially for a quiet night!
I can appreciate what they tried to go here, but I was not very impressed. The decor is beautiful, reminiscent of a European style Cantina. The focus, however, seems to be more on coffee and sweet baked treats, then a real cantina or tapas. Three people we had the chicken sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich and cheese croquettes, plus drinks. Our bill came to around 80 US dollars. Grief Grief The food was extremely underwater. Bland and small portion sizes for the price you pay. The staff, where everything is wonderful and super nice and helpful, why I feel so bad how I left the disease. But I was already with much better places with much better food for a much better price.
