We held my mother’s 80th birthday in the Bellbird Room over the Easter weekend. All the pre-arrangements were made courteously and efficiently by the friendly staff. The room was the perfect size and every effort was made to meet our setup requirements. The food (platters) was delicious and the service friendly and discreet. The decor is lovely and it’s a lovely space to be in. Everyone, especially Mum, had a ball an... View all feedback.

went with a small group for a beer and a counter lunch , bad mistake . the service was so slow and the lone girl serving was very uninterested and obviously wanted to be else ware bordering on being plain rude . 2 of the meals came out wrong and the garlic bread was like it had been cooked in a microwave . i do not expect fine dinning but this place is **** View all feedback.
We booked a large table well in advance for Father's Day lunch at a local pub that is a favorite of our grandfather. The menu was special for the occasion, so I decided to try the Reef Beef, which was decent. Someone else at our table ordered the ribs, which were not as good. The best choices seemed to be the chicken Parmesan and Caesar salads. Unfortunately, the grandfather's Parmesan and another salad order were the last to come out, and they never did (even after waiting for 30 minutes while others ate). Luckily, we had kept our food order receipt after being asked if we wanted a copy. When we asked about the missing meals at the cashier, we were initially told they had been given to us. After some polite negotiation, we finally received the absent meals. The service was clunky and frustrating, and the food was hit-or-miss. Despite this, we tried to keep a brave face for our grandfather.
Terrible won’t be back after frequenting at least twice a month for years New system ordering from table does not allow changing eg salad and chips to vegetables
Beautiful lunch served quickly and nice and hot. 2 senior meals, very generous serves. Turkey roast was so succulent and vegetables lovely. Steak cooked perfectly. Great value for money. Pavlova with all the trimmings including ice cream $4.40, terrific value. Little bit noisy but too be expected on Easter holiday as quite busy.
Driving by York we spontaneously decided to stop and have a bite to eat. Not having been here for many, many years we weren't expecting anything other than standard pub grub, well how it has changed and for the better, much better. Menu does have all the standard fare one would expect from a bistro and a few nice surprises too. Both our meals (roast maple bacon, pumpkin salad lamb shanks) were delicious. There is a specials board (visibly, above order counter) so maybe check that out too. All staff were friendly and polite, service prompt fairly priced. Cody the barman made our drinks to perfection, all in all a lovely lunch. Well done guys thanks for a great lunch
Upon arrival, we were directed to our table without any explanation of how to order. No menus were provided, and my wine glass had an unpleasant odor. My husband had nearly finished his meal by the time my salad arrived, which only came after we complained. Unfortunately, the salad I ordered was disappointing - it lacked flavor, did not match the menu description, and was missing key ingredients like pistachios and pomegranate molasses. Additionally, the pumpkin was undercooked. Overall, our experience was subpar.
