5 Spice Indian Cuisine - Mount Barker

Really enjoyed both our curries. The meat was tender, and the goat curry was wonderfully coconutty. The service was also very quick, and it's clearly a popular spot with the locals due to the amount of people there at midday on a wednesday. Also love how the menu marked what was gluten free and dairy free, and everything was really reasonably priced. However, the Ginger Chicken was much too oily, and not at all gingery. That was the only negative experience.

The butter chicken was really nice and tender.... a little bit too sweet but easily fixed with a pinch of salt :) will definitely be back!

This is definitely not the best Indian food we have ever had and it certainly was not the worst however, I can't recommend this restaurant, the best of the three dishes we had was the vegetarian one, it was by far the tastiest and actually had some genuine Indian flavour unfortunately, the other dishes were bland and disappointing.

Friendly staff.Food was tasty but nothing special appropriate for the price range.The decor needs attention as the paint on the ceiling was cracked and flaking and the air vents very dirty,which was off putting.For a cheap meal it is ok,but we will not be going back.

Delicious, affordable and friendly and with what has to be the biggest surprise - a really good wine list- I'd say easily one of the best wine selections in Mount Barker. We eat here with family, with friends and as a couple and when we don't want to go out but want something nice we can easily order from their extensive takeaway menu and pick up in under 20min.
