Turvey Thai - MOUNT AUSTIN

During our stay at a nearby Airbnb, we decided to follow a recommendation and dine at Turvey Thai Restaurant. We arrived around 6pm and noticed several takeaways being picked up on a busy Saturday night, but we chose to dine in. The staff were friendly, although their service seemed a bit disorganized. We ordered Potato Prawn Rolls and Satay Chicken Skewers for starters, followed by Chicken Pad Thai and Pad Prik King Prawn Stir Fry. The dishes had exceptional flavors and we would highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Turvey Park, Wagga Wagga again.

I ordered the 32 Chilli with seafood, but there was barely any chilli. The second order was the 29 Pad Thai with beef, which was supposed to have garlic but I couldn't smell or taste it. If I hadn't added lemon, it would have been tasteless. It was a waste of money as I ended up throwing it in the bin.

We can recommend the Pad Thai with roasted duck and the grilled pork. We were given generous amounts of meat, particularly the roasted duck. Prices are good, what you'd expect to pay for good Thai. The salt and pepper calamari was a bit rubbery with not much taste, so wouldn't recommend this entree. We ordered it take away, so not sure what it's like to eat in.
