The waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu and was unable to provide guidance on what accompanied each meal. 2. She also failed to ask whether we preferred our fish grilled or fried, and we ended up with grilled fish, which was not our choice. 3. My husband ordered the De Dekker hake, which comes with two pieces of hake, while I requested a hake and calamari combo to take away. 4. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, the wait times were excessively long. 5. When we finally received our takeaway, the waitress simply dropped the boxes on the table and hurried off to attend to other tables, neglecting to complete our service; we still needed to pay, and our food was beginning to cool down. 6. Ultimately, we had to ask her to please take our payment.

Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. My wife ordered a rump steak, while I had to choose a standard burger since the ingredients for the Trammazine and toasted sandwich were unavailable. Although my wife’s steak was cooked to her liking, it was completely tasteless. My burger patty, on the other hand, was utterly unappetizing; it seemed like it had been pre-prepared and just reheated for my order—totally flavorless and inedible. The chips were excessively greasy, and I couldn't bring myself to eat them. On a positive note, we did receive a small discount on our bill, and the waitress was very apologetic. However, in a situation like this, I would have expected a manager to come by our table to address the issue. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that we won’t be returning. What a shame!
