My family made a reservation for saturday at 8. I got there early before everyone else and as soon as i sat down i was told i had to order right away because the kitchen closes at 8:15. I was completely stunned because i was being rushed to order before my family even walked through the door. Great Italian food, especially for a tortellini lover such as myself.
My family made a reservation for saturday at 8. I got there early before everyone else and as soon as i sat down i was told i had to order right away because the kitchen closes at 8:15. I was completely stunned because i was being rushed to order before my family even walked through the door. What would have happened if no one knew what they wanted or if they 'd never been here before? Our meal was rushed and my food came out lukewarm as the staff cleaned up around us and all i could think about was why did they accept my reservation if they 're closing so soon after? It was such an uncomfortable and awful experience that wasn 't even worth the price. My waiter looked completely annoyed the whole time. Unacceptable.
The food at Barones is always top tier. I highly recommend the Pear Sachetti (buried at the end of the menu). The pasta dishes are rich and flavorful and the salads are fresh and creative. Overall, a great meal for a wide variety of occasions from a business lunch to a family dinner to an office banquet.

I gave this restaurant a one-star review for various reasons. Firstly, the food is bland and tasteless as they do not use salt and pepper. Additionally, the service is lackluster; the waitress seemed disinterested and not welcoming. She rushed us through ordering, despite taking 15 minutes to come to our table. The dishes, such as the calamari and short rib flatbread, were poorly presented and lacked flavor. The calamari was unseasoned and had a texture reminiscent of styrofoam. Unfortunately, the short rib flatbread looked unappetizing, with a presentation that was far from pleasing. Although I did not capture a photo, the experience left much to be desired.
