What Maggie S doesn't like about Coffee Shop Of Horrors:
This is hopefully to get the owner to see, our order was taken by a girl in the Montverde location, we love this coffee shop it has always been a nice and good place to go, but today we went and the place smelt like horrible burning, we continued to order our coffee with icecream in it, when we got our order we were only given icecream, we asked for it to be fixed and she said that she wouldn't fix it unless we pay f... This place is permanently closed!!! Don't waste your time going like I did. There are no signs on the building letting you know it's closed for good.
Didn't love how dark the place used to be, wasn't Uber thrilled from the experience I had with an iced latte. It was over all meh come si come sa
I 'm leaving a generous 2-star review only because of all of the positive reviews. We clearly must have come at a bad time, which happened to be on a Sunday around 11:00. We were immediately unimpressed by the facility as it was not very clean and several areas were a bit in disrepair. The shelves were virtually empty, which based on pictures from other reviews is not the norm. There was no ground or whole bean coffee for sale and very little merchandise. We were hoping to grab a breakfast sandwich but the shop was out of eggs according to the barista. So clearly there were no breakfast sandwiches available AT BRUNCH TIME ON SUNDAY. The menu featured The Thriller , which is the customers choice of coffee and a choice of ice cream. But the ice cream machine was out of order. There were no flavors on the menu and no bottles sitting in sight for us to know what flavors were even optional. I ordered a rum caramel iced coffee with cream and sugar and the cup was nearly all ice with very little coffee. Dunkin makes a better iced coffee. My wife ordered an iced latte and was not given the whipped cream or even asked if she 'd prefer it. Hers wasn 't sweet enough and had to be given back to sweeten it. The facility had very little seating, even though we got ours to go due to having zero food options. But had we wanted to stay, there would have been very little room for the three of us. The barista had even taken the largest seating area and had his gaming computer set up for himself which was quite ridiculous. I am not one to leave bad reviews but I think it 's important when it seems that the general public may be deceived by other reviews. We will not be returning unfortunately. I was hoping this could be yet another of the terrific dining/beverage options around Clermont and minneola to frequent but it didn 't pan out.
Attentive and amiable Barista. Great coffee and a pleasant atmosphere. Was disappointed that I couldn't buy coffee to take home but no big deal- I can order it online! Love that.
So much potential! We traveled A Long way to go to this place, but was just a bit let down. I expected so much more BUT it was very tastfully decorated with nothing cheesy. The coffee selection was very good. I think there is alot of good hype going on for this place thanks to social media and they could definitely capitalize on us weirdos . Suggestions: expanded specialty drink menu, scary snacks and deserts and definitely more cool one of a kind scary/horror influenced decorations. Our barista who told us it was his 3rd day, was SUPER friendly and definitely made the company look good. Also and very important the bathroom was clean there was photo op opportunities as well. all in all I loved the experience and hope to return and see it flourish ️
