for food it was acceptable and delicious. the portions are rather small. We were eating pasta and we had to ask for bread. The waiter wasn't too much on his case that day anyway. The atmosphere was a long time. The server noys z even said that this restorer was a little cheek. for Italian cuisine, I found it odd that the cook was an Indian instead of Italian. Well, I already said it was good. View all feedback.
What Anthony M doesn't like about Vinnie Gambini's:
The chefs salad was disappointing, with barely any vegetables and looked very unimaginative. However, the linguine with shrimp and scallops was decent, nothing extraordinary but still satisfactory. I decided to splurge on the most expensive glass of red wine from the menu ($14) and unfortunately, it was only average at best. View all feedback.
Moderate to good food, depending on the plates chosen. Mid-range prices. Excellent service. But freezing inside on this winter's coldest day.....
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent and all four of our meals were delicious. The decor was lovely and we will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommended.
The restaurant is typically busy during major sports events like the Stanley Cup or World Cup Playoffs, attracting young couples looking for a lively atmosphere. It's popular among young professionals trying to impress a date, as well as tourists drawn in by the excitement. It's a great spot for people-watching, with a hint of glamour and plenty of youthful energy. While I wouldn't choose to dine there, it's a fun place to catch a hockey game. The sports bars near the Bell Center excel in this area, but Vinnie Gambini's offers more of a social experience, focused on socializing and meeting new people. For food, I recommend going to Kojax on Ste Catherine Street, where you can enjoy delicious souvlakis until late at night. They're juicy, flavorful, and easy to eat without making a mess.
We seem to have been forgotten had to summon a waitress a couple of times after long waits and the food was just mediocre, though the ambiance was quite nice.
The ambience was cool, soothing and relaxing after a hard day of traveling....it became romantic as the night went on. the drinks were cold and refreshing and quite unique enough so to make us want to try several of the offerings. the food was magnificent served hot and fresh. it was most tasty and each dish that we had was flavor packed and plentiful. the service was outstanding warm, friendly and engaging. if i had only one night in montreal, this would be my restaurant of choice there may be some that are older, some that are more expensive, but there are none better.
