This restaurant is small but offers a lot. We were seated at a table with cushions on the floor, which we enjoyed as it reminded us of home. For appetizers, I had Chinese dumplings with peanut sauce and my husband had Spring rolls with slightly spicy peanut sauce. What Franck P doesn't like about Tampopo:
Small around the corner restaurant, a touch of originality with tables owner you have to sit on the ground ....just like in Japan. Food is good and good sized portions, not sure about the cleanliness of the kitchen though. That 's why I only gave them the average grade, because if you bring the clients near the kitchen, it has to be pristine!!! View all feedback.
I love this place! The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly! I always order the Gado Gado dish and I highly recommend it!

We enjoyed Japanese beer (Sapporo) and Hibiscus Kombucha as our beverages. The waitress was very nice and provided excellent service. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

It is a cute small place, with its Asian charm and very good food! Three tables for four (sitting on the cushions on the floor a bit like in Japan), and several chairs around the bar kitchen where you can watch all those delicious meals being prepared. Very good price quality: I paid CAD18 for a starter and main, generous portions!!! Staff nice and kind. It is very close to the metro station Mont Royal (4min walk).
The food is very tasteful. I would recommend the vegetarian dumplings the Pho soups. This is a good place to order from for asian food in the Plateau. It takes about 1 hour to get to your place, which is not bad.
