Restaurant Le Leman - Montréal

HIgh quality food, excellent service and accommodating host. As a former resident of Fribourg, Switzerland, I must complement the amazing, truly authentic fondue moitie-moitie (1/2 Vacherin Fribourgeois, 1/2 Gruyere), with the perfect match of Swiss Fendant (Chasselas), which is so difficult to find in the US. Best I've ever had outside of Fribourg.Rosti was also excellent. A bit disappointed, though, that the Wienerschnitzel and Emince du Boeuf Zurichoise were made with chicken breast and beef, respectively, instead of the traditional veal.Will definitely return for fondue next trip to Montreal.

As you enter the restaurant, you can tell that the owner must have spent some time in the Swiss Army . . . and liked it. In the same Swiss spirit, the huge reproduction showing the terraced vineyards of the lovely Lavaux region, overlooking the lake of Geneva, is breathtaking, giving the restaurant its own décor and ambiance. The Rösti was excellent, very tasty. The roulade of veal, a favorite of ours, was not what we expected. It was quite a bit less than tender; a little surprising when one looks at the local suppliers listed on the restaurant's website. The service was professional, efficient and friendly. Supervriendelijke gastheer en mevrouw,. Gevarieerde menukaart. Vijf verschillende gerechten besteld. Allen zeer smakelijk. Voortreffelijke wijn en desserts. Aanrader.Prima zwitserse rustige sfeer.

Well hidden gem, went their for lunch with two colleagues, i had the veal tongue and it was well done then we came back couple of days later for the fondue which i liked, the service is really good and welcoming and the pkace was nice, it is little pricey though, but i would go there again for sure.
