Small restaurant with limited seating . Very clean with quirky decor . We shared a plate of Dahi Batata Puri (Indian poppers) between 2 and then had a meat thali plate each . Food was nicely presented and had good flavours although not really spicy . Not a big choice of desserts . Restaurant has an commendable initiative for zero waste takeout .
I am no Indian food expert... however, this place was recommended by a food critic and we must agree with the positive review, we arrived in the peak hours and waited patiently in the entrance sipping a craft beer working up our appetite. 25 minutes later we sat at the bar watching all the action in the kitchen and feasted on the delicious plates recommended by locals waiting with us. The place was packed and remained so until we left. Its small, minimalist, but so so good! Great for a quick dish or get together with friends.
I lived in India many years, and this is the closest to Indian home food I've found in Montreal. They have the best baby chair too!! It can be a bit spicy for a child though. Good local beers, highly recommend the snacks and thali!!
