Kam Shing - Montréal

We waited an hour and a half for our order( even though they said pick up in 45 minutes) the food was awful. The general Taos chicken was dark meat and full of fat. The general Taos tofu sauce was very watery and tasted like vinegar. The beef and broccoli was terrible. The broccoli over cooked and the beef tasted sour. Ended up throwing it out. We arrived at 6:30 pm , a few tables available , big area . Upstairs and a lower level : more room. We were served a pot of tea right away and water glasses. Our friend’s boyfriend suggested the Chop Suey Wonton soup ! Scrumptious delicious , filled with shrimp wontons and vegetables, and noodles . Then we ordered peanut butter dumplings: 8 pcs Also we had chicken with broccoli

I'm been eating here since I was a baby. Their food and service are amazing. A must-stop to eat when you're in the area.

I’ve been eating at or doing takeout from the two Montreal locations for over 35 years. That should say something in itself. This is awesome Szechuan food. I judge a Chinese food restaurant by how many Chinese ppl eat there as they obviously know what’s authority and good. It passes that test. Best General Tao and Pan Fried Noodles with Chicken Vegetables. Sesame Beef is the only dish that needs improvement. You come here to eat and nothing more as these is no decor. Service.... lol..... they take ur order and bring your food.... don’t expect a smile or warm pleasantries. If you are a difficult customer and want to modify the recipe, they’ll probably throw u out. It’s good for groups as there are many big round tables and order family style. Portions are generous except the Peanut Butter Dumplings (which are great). Prices are really good and the weekday lunch specials are fantastic. Pro tip takeout is even better as the food has longer time to soak in the sauces. Always very generous portions for takeout.

My family from Ontario has a Christmas lunch at this resto after church last dec 25 2019 , first time in my life we encountered a Worst Service and take note the manager and some one WHO called himself as a boss that was so freAking rude and uneducated person !!! We ordered 10 dishes 7 soup came first then 15 mins after one dish came out ok,then we have to wait 15 mins again for each dishes??? Come ON ! Then fried chicken was served very Cold its like came from outside then the Worst thing was they serve the fried Rice last so tell me How that management work like this UN organized !!!one more thing the manager o site that Day was soooo uneducated RUDe person!!! From now ON better Go to Kam Shing in Vanhorn !!!!!
