Caffe Grazie Mille - Montréal

Staff are wonderful. Panini of the day was super - a great price with plenty of meat and great flavor. Espresso was balanced but weak (I prefer earthy and heavy tastes). A nice place for a snack.

We came in here twice, both times for the food as well as the conversation. The owner did a great job not only preparing food but also entertaining his customers, and it was apparent he also knew a vast majority of the people coming in and out of the Cafe. He also gave us a brief history lesson and overview of the city, as well as some excellent samples to try.

I don't drink coffee, but my wife does, and she raved about the brew she bought there. It was a beautiful sunny morning, so we sat outside for a while people-watching. A great spot to kill some time.

We walked in cause honestly, we just wanted a cup of coffee for the road. We saw his food selections and wished we had not eaten first! We still got a rice, cheese and spinach ball. We immediately felt like we were visiting family. Nat, the owner, was so friendly and kind. The freshly ground coffee was one of the best I've had in a long time. The rice ball was homemade, smothered in tomato sauce and topped with melted cheese. It was delicious! We had great conversation with Nat and his friend about sports, cities, food, cooking, movies, restaurants and history. Laughed quite a bit. We got to know each other and he took care of us like we were visiting his home. He gave us a complimentary, freshly made cannoli, which was delicious and even allowed us to partake in some cheese tasting! By the time we had to leave, we were making plans to go for dinner with Nat and his wife the next time we were in town! A great little place with great food, coffee and company that I'm glad we stumbled into!! Memorable day!!

We stopped for a quick cappuccino after an extensive brunch. As appealing as the sandwiches are, we could eat no more. The espresso and the cappuccino were quite good, the Sicilian owner very friendly and while the locale cannot be described as trendy, it brought a smile to our face! Grazie
